TOMORROW

August 25, 2017 - September 3, 2017

August 25, 26, 27, Sept 1, 2, 3     Single Tickets $5     Semester Passes $30     Where Are Films Shown?     Where Can I Park?

This is not your grandmother’s environmental doc. Filmmaker Melanie Laurent set out to make a sunnier film about our environmental challenges. She and her crew visit everyday communities that have taken creative steps to reduce their contribution to climate change: permaculture farming in France, urban farming in Detroit, a new democratic experiment to let Untouchables and high-caste live together in India, and a political revolution and rewritten constitution in Iceland.

Melanie Laurent is perhaps best known in the States as an actress; she played Shosanna Dreyfus, the Parisian who seeks revenge on Nazis in Quentin Tarantino’s  Inglourious Basterds. She’s directed several French-language films including Breathe, which some of you may have seen at Ryder in 2015.
