“CRITIC’S PICK! ASTOUNDING… Surprises, with incredible force!”
—The New York Times
The Wolf House is an animated feature that tells the story of a young girl who escapes a cult colony of religious fanatics during Chile’s darkest years under rule of military dictator, Augusto Pinochet.
Painstakingly produced over the course of several years by filmmakers Cristóbal León and Joaquín Cociña, The Wolf House combines the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm, the early shorts of David Lynch and the stop-motion work of Jan Svankmajer. It’s easily one of the most accomplished, transporting, and conceptually rich animated features to appear in recent memory.
Chile / in Spanish and German with subtitles / 73 minutes
